Clearing your Cache - Resonline


The first step is to perform a ‘forced refresh’, with the following key combinations:

Windows:    ctrl + F5

Mac/Apple:  Apple + R  or  command + R

You’ve performed the forced refresh, and you still can’t see the  changes or are still receiving the same error, the next step is to clear your cache manually.  Each browser has different steps to clearing the  cache, with Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer and Safari outlined  below.

 

Chrome

1. From within your browser, click the menu button Chrome Setting and select Settings

2. Click Show Advanced Settings at the bottom of the settings section

3. Under the Privacy section, click Clear Browsing Data

4. Ensure that the cache will be cleared from the beginning of time

5. Click Clear browsing data

 

Firefox

1. From within your browser, click the menu button  and select History

2. Click Clear Recent History

3. From the drop-down menu, select Everything as the time range to clear

4. Click the Details arrow, to select what history elements to clear

5. Click Clear Now

 

Internet Explorer

1. From within your browser, click the tools menu  and select Internet Options

2. Within the General tab, under Browsing History click Delete

3. Un-check the Preserve favourites website data box

4. Ensure that Temporary Internet files, Cookies and History boxes are all checked

5. Click Delete

6. When finished, click OK to return to your browser

7. Close the Internet Explorer window and reopen.


Edge

1. From within your Microsoft Browser, click the menu button  and select Settings

2. Under Clear your Browsing Data, Click Choose What to Clear

3. Ensure that Browsing History, Cookies and History boxes are all checked

4. Click Clear

5. When finished, click the menu button to return to your browser.

 

Safari (on IOS - iPad, iPhone)

1. Within the setting icon (on your homepage), select Safari from the list

2. Select Clear History and Website Data

3. Select Clear History and Data


Safari (on Mac)
1. Click Safari on the upper left.
2. Click Preferences
3. Go to the Privacy menu (hand icon)
4. Click on Manage Website Data/Remove All Website Data
5. Click Remove Now.


Chrome (on IOS - iPad, iPhone)

1. Within Chrome, select the three vertical dots in the top right hand corner of the screen

2. Click Settings

3. Click Privacy

4. Click Clear Browsing Data

5. Tick on Browsing History, Cookies, Site Data, Cached Images and Files

6. Click Clear Browsing Data

7. Click Clear Browsing Data

8. When you have completed the above, click Finished
