Booking.com -  Would you like to send specials from ResOnline to Booking.com ?


Why ?

We know that it can be an added hassle to login to Booking.com extranet to update specials. Now, you can manage deals and promotions from ResOnline.

Promotions are a great way to boost business. With promotions, you can:

● Get more bookings. Early Booker and Last Minute deals are highlighted in search results, so you can

attract more visitors to your Booking.com page.

● Increase revenue. A lot of customers initially attracted by special offers often end up booking

non-discounted rates for other rooms.

● Fill rooms year round. Increase occupancy with promotions in low-season. Minimum-length-of-stay

deals help secure higher-value bookings.

● Stay flexible. Early Booker and Last Minute Deals let you manage occupancy based on your business

needs. You also have more control over length of stay, non-refundable policies and promotion times.

● Target specific markets. With Basic Deals, you can time the promotion to fit the time zone of your

target market.

● Stand out from the competition. Your property appears higher in search results when customers

are sorting by price.

● Reduce cancellations. Around a third of all bookings on our platform are now made with a mobile

device. Last-minute bookings account for 40% of all smartphone bookings, and they have a low

cancellation rate. With Last Minute Deals, properties can attract customers who book late.

Inside the ResOnline specials in the ResOnline Home page, you will now be able to setup some new and existing specials to distribute to Booking.com

How to use it

  1. Open up a ResOnline specials icon inside Resonline Channel manager (https://cm.resonline.com.au)

  2. Click on the “Add a new Special” button or Select an existing special in the 

  3. To "Add a New Special" , please click here for further details

  4. Under the existing special, then select Distribution to OTA's

  5. If you would like to send this special to your ResOnline website booking engine, please tick on.

  6. To send this special to Booking.com, please tick on
  7. You can then Name the promotion/special a different name. Booking.com only accepts 20 characters for your promotion name.  This name is only for you: it is not displayed to guests.

  8. Please select whether a credit card is required for this promotion in the drop down

  9. Please select if this special is non refundable in the drop down

  10. You will need to select What Booking.com channel is this special valid for?

    1. Public

    2. Subscribers

    3. China

  11. Save changes


FAQ's

  • Specials must be setup setup per rate plan in ResOnline for us to be able to send these to Booking.com
  • Extra person charges will be sent to Booking.com per the per rate plan that the special has been activated from in ResOnline 
  • The rate plan that has been not been mapped to Booking.com will not be able to be activated with a special
  • Specials with promotional codes can not be accepted by Booking.com
  • Promotions that have been setup under the ResOnline promotion icon will not be sent to Booking.com

Booking.com specials/promotions that are available to be sent are?

Booking.com can accept all the below specials from ResOnline:

  • Basic Percentage Discount Specials  - This is an easy and fully customisable promotion, which will give the guest a discount on selected rooms and rates.
  • Last minute Deals - For a Last minute promotion that gives guests a discount if they book x days or less before their intended check-in date. Sell leftover rooms, max out your occupancy, increase your visibility on mobile devices, and attract last-minute bookers.
  • Early Booker Specials - The number of days guests must book in advance to get the discount from this promotion. 

Coming soon:

  • Business Booker Deals  - 1 in 5 bookings are business related. The discount will only be displayed to verified, logged-in business travelers, and will apply to all your room types, rates and dates except excluded. The lower price and special tag on search results might help increase your visibility and ultimately earn more bookings
  • Geo Rate Deals - A Public Geo Rate is a special, discounted rate that is only offered to customers from a specific region. Public Geo Rates are available for all customers from a certain markets, and will apply to all your room types, rates and dates except excluded. The lower price and special tag on search results might help increase your visibility and ultimately earn more bookings.


Are all specials/promotions available to be sent to Booking.com?

No! Booking.com can not accept all specials from ResOnline. Booking.com can only handle percentage discount specials via the API. They will be upgrading their API soon

Specials that are not valid are:

  • Amount Specials can not be accepted by Booking.com
  • Specials with promotional codes can not be accepted by Booking.com
  • Pay Stay Deals can not be accepted by Booking.com
  • Package Deals can not be accepted by Booking.com
